You have now entered…BUGS IN THE BASEMENT
‘Bugs in the Basement’ is a fanfic centered around the characters Izumi Kyouka and Yumeno Kyuusaku from the anime series Bungou Stray Dogs. The two characters both spent time in a criminal organisation called the ‘Port Mafia’, though the latter character still remains a part of it while the former has left.
In canon, there’s nothing that suggests these two met during their shared period in this organisation. However, I thought for a while that it’d be interesting to explore the idea of what if they DID meet. They’re both close in age afterall, and currently the youngest PM (and ex-PM) members that we’ve seen in the present day.
The premise of the fic is around creating a backstory for these two that could still fit into the current canon. A secret alliance, betrayal, friendship, and all sorts going on between these two that they made sure no one else was aware off. The first story in this series will explore this backstory and how Kyouka leaving the organisation affected their relationship.
